This policy explains what personal information Luminex Research (“we”) collects through luminexresearchpeptides.com, how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you place an order: your email address, name, shipping address (including apartment or suite), the products and quantities you order, any discount code, and the date and time you made each checkout confirmation: that you are 21 or older, that the products are for research use only and are not for human consumption, and that you accept our terms. We do not ask for a phone number.
Payment details: entered directly with our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
If you create an account: your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read. You may also save up to 20 shipping addresses to your account.
If you email us: the contents of your message and your email address.
Technical information: to protect sign-in, sign-up, password reset and discount-code checks against abuse, we count attempts by IP address and email address. We store these counts only as one-way scrambled values, never the IP address or email itself. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.
Cookies and browser storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items that the site needs to work:
luminex_age_ok (cookie): remembers that you confirmed you are 21 or older. Kept for 30 days.
Sign-in cookies (set by our authentication provider): keep you signed in to your account until you sign out or the session expires.
Cart (browser storage): remembers what is in your cart, product and quantity only, until you clear it.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If we add them, we will update this policy first.
How we use your information
To process, ship and support your orders, and to send order and shipping emails; to run your account, if you have one; to keep the site secure and prevent fraud and abuse; to keep the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records; and to send marketing emails only if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the store for us, and only what each one needs: Supabase (database and account sign-in), Netlify (website hosting), Google Workspace (our business email), our payment processor (payment processing), and Shippo and the shipping carrier (shipping labels and delivery: name and shipping address).
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Account information (your sign-in and saved addresses) is kept until you ask us to delete your account; orders already placed stay in our records for the 7 years. Records we keep only to prevent abuse of sign-in and discount codes are held in scrambled form and are not linked to your name.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to customer data is restricted to our administrator account, which requires a password and an authenticator-app code. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by emailing support@luminexresearchpeptides.com. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, such as order records for tax purposes. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights under state privacy law.
Age
This site is only for people aged 21 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
